## Users
Otsuka's European brand and marketing teams — pharma marketers reviewing Veeva Approved Email and CLM performance across markets. They read monthly, not daily, and take numbers at face value, so every figure must be defensible. Secondary users are Ministry of Fish admins (primarily Matt Hampsey) who import data, curate metadata, and generate client-facing reports, emails, and PowerPoint packs.

## Product Purpose
A reporting layer over Otsuka's Veeva email and CLM call data: dashboards for exploration, a monthly report pack (printable, exportable to editable PowerPoint), and a region summary email generator that drafts Outlook-ready performance summaries from the same numbers. It exists so Ministry of Fish can deliver agency-grade monthly reporting without hand-building decks. Success is Otsuka trusting the numbers enough to circulate them internally unedited.

## Positioning
The single trustworthy view of Otsuka's email and CLM performance — every number traceable to the source export, every caveat surfaced rather than hidden.

## Brand Personality
Confident, precise, warm-professional. Otsuka blue (#2663AC) carries structure; orange (#F7993A) marks the one thing that matters on each surface. Client-facing surfaces read polished and editorial; admin surfaces are dense working tools.

## Anti-references
Generic SaaS analytics templates (identical card grids, hero-metric clichés). Anything that reads AI-generated or unfinished — placeholder text, "TBD" in client view. Never decorative data: no invented figures, no silently hidden gaps; a data-quality problem is shown as a caveat, not smoothed over.

## Design Principles
- Numbers are the product: correctness beats polish, and a caveat banner beats a wrong impression.
- One focal point per surface — the orange element is the answer to "what matters this month".
- Fail loud, never fake: missing data states its absence; nothing renders a plausible-looking zero.
- Outputs are deliverables: the email, PDF, and PPTX exports carry the same design system and numbers as the live app.
- Consistency is an affordance — same card language, same spacing scale, same component vocabulary on every screen.

## Accessibility & Inclusion
No formal WCAG target agreed; working baseline is readable contrast (micro-labels are deliberately floored at ~12px rendered), keyboard-reachable controls, and print-safe layouts for the report pack.
